Inveraray Jail

Stepping through the doors of Inveraray Jail transports visitors back in time to a 19th-century prison. They can experience what life was like for the real men, women, and children – some as young as seven – who were tried and incarcerated there.

Visitors can explore the atmospheric historic buildings at their leisure and meet costumed characters who bring the past to life in this unique living museum.
