In Scottish Gaelic, Oban (An t-Òban) means ‘little bay’, which is very true of this little town with its big personality. Oban is just an hour away from Tyndrum and makes for a great day out – especially for foodies.
Where is it?
Oban is a little resort town in Argyll and Bute but is the largest town between Helensburgh and Fort William. Hop on a ferry to head over and explore the beautiful isles of Mull, Iona and Staffa.
As a perfectly pretty seaside town surrounded by bonnie shores and countryside, you can definitely expect top-notch seafood here, too!
